Quote of the Week
“Language is the road map of a culture. It tells you where its people come from and where they are going.”
― Rita Mae Brown
Often times, whether we are learning the language or just trying to decipher it, we can forget to look at languages from an unbiased lens. Examining languages means that we sometimes forget to look for contextual understanding beyond our personal perspectives. Languages are the embodiment of the history and culture of a group of people, so we must not forget to look to these sources when we are led astray in our mission to understand!
