Language courses are teaching gender-neutral pronouns for new learners.
General org updates
Every week, we’re working tirelessly on our Sandbox initiative to make the most of this fresh start. Our projects are sorted with technical tags as well as language tags, so you can filter based on your personal interests.
No projects that have yet to be spotlighted, but we are always on the lookout for new ideas! If you have an innovative project idea, but no time to work on it, submit it here.
Lastly, do you know of an existing resource that you would like to see improved in our Sandbox? Submit it here, and we will try to get in contact with its developer.
Quote of the week
"One should not aim at being possible to understand but at being impossible to misunderstand."
Marcus Fabius Quintilian
In language learning, we are not aiming for perfection. Rather, we are aiming to understand others and communicate beyond the barriers new languages pose. Just as this quote from Quintilian goes, take a different look at your language-learning. Your language learning is not about being an amazing speaker (though we deeply encourage it!), but it is about communicating effectively and growing your understanding about other cultures.
